Larry King Hails Award-Winning Short Film “Masque” as “Enchanting”

The win marks yet another festival award in the film’s ongoing medal streak, which extends to over 40 international film awards. Currently, Masque is in the running for a “Best Short Film Live Action” nomination at the upcoming 2014 Oscars.

Hailed by Larry King as “an enchanting touch of life,” producers Richard Losee, Matt Hales and Robert Hatch chose to shoot Masque on film in order to fully employ the medium’s authenticity and capture the poetry of the story — a fitting choice for a plot rich with imagery and symbolic narrative.

Masque stars Richard Losee as aging prizefighter, henchman and gambler Colorado McBride, whose dark past is mirrored in his malevolently scarred face. Double-crossed and left for dead by his treacherous business partner Masters, he finds compassion in the arms of Grace, a widowed country woman (Lauren Holly) and in the art of a mysterious Mask Maker (Wilford Brimley), whose skills proffer a mythical journey of restitution.
