All of us at EKC PR are extremely excited to welcome Latin music legend A.B. Quintanilla III to our roster of clientele!
The record producer, songwriter, and musician is the older brother of Selena (“The Queen of Tejano Music”), who sadly passed away in 1995 at the age of 23. Along with Selena, his other sister and his father, A.B. became a member of Los Dinos in 1980 where he played bass guitar, and produced and wrote hit songs for Selena including “Como La Flor” (Like A Flower), and “Amor Prohibido” (Forbidden Love).
Later on, A.B. created the Mexican cumbia group called Los Kumbia Kings, which encompassed the musical styles of cumbia, hip hop, and R&B. The band went on to win a Latin Grammy in 2006 but sadly split soon after.
Having over three decades of experience in the business, A.B. Quintanilla is now back and better than ever in 2017 with brand new music and a brand new band called Elektro Cumbia.
Check out the two new music videos from Elektro Cumbia for the singles “La Aventura,” and “PiƱa Colada Shot”:
