The Los Angeles Jazz Company is making its highly anticipated debut with “The Time Is Now”, a one-night-only performance at Avalon Hollywood on July 23, 2024. Organized by LA Dance Magic and its founder Jackie Sleight, the event will bring together some of the industry’s most celebrated dancers and choreographers to benefit the “I’m A Dancer Against Cancer” charity. All proceeds will provide crucial financial aid and support to dancers, educators, and choreographers impacted by cancer.
Featuring performances by Little Big Band and choreography from renowned artists including Al Blackstone, Chase Benz, Christian Vincent, Michael Rooney, and Tyce Diorio, the event promises a breathtaking fusion of jazz dance and live music. Special guests include Jennifer Jones, the first African American Rockette; Vincent Paterson, legendary choreographer for Michael Jackson; and Mandy Moore, the celebrated choreographer behind La La Land and Taylor Swift’s tour. With its mission to preserve and promote jazz dance, The Los Angeles Jazz Company hopes to educate and inspire future generations through performances, scholarships, and community outreach.
