NBC California Live Features OmniPeace’s Global Music Box

NBC4 Los Angeles shined a spotlight on OmniPeace Foundation founder Mary Fanaro and her transformative Global Music Box program in a recent California Live segment. Filmed at Deliverance Tabernacle Church in Pasadena, the piece showcased how an underused space was reimagined into a vibrant music classroom—offering instruments and inspiration to children who had never had access to music education.

First launched in Rwanda to bring healing through music to war-torn communities, Global Music Box has since expanded across Los Angeles. The Pasadena location marks the program’s second permanent California site, following its successful debut at Dolores T. Richardson Elementary in Inglewood. Fanaro emphasized that beyond instruments, the initiative provides “spaces where children feel seen, supported, and uplifted,” bridging joy and mental health through the power of music.
