MyBurbank spotlights the remarkable journey of Alberto Crane — world-traveling athlete, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, UFC veteran, and the driving force behind Legacy, his Burbank martial arts academy of 14 years. Crane has lived on three continents, trained across multiple countries, and built a reputation defined by discipline and purpose. Now, he’s preparing to share that story in All In, a memoir written by Mexhele Deuxlemarr and published by Balboa Press, arriving this December. As Crane puts it, the book captures “the ups and downs, the wins and losses, and everything in between,” reflecting a life shaped by constant motion and unwavering commitment.
Crane’s path to Burbank began in Santa Fe before moving to Germany, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte — each chapter adding to his global experience and shaping the champion he would become. Those years in Brazil laid the foundation for the skills he now passes on to students at Legacy, where he teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, world-class Muay Thai, judo, wrestling, Tacfit, and holistic functional fitness alongside a thriving recovery program. The gym has grown into a community staple, offering training for kids, teens, adults, and seniors with a philosophy built around accessibility, wellness, and personal growth.
That community focus extends beyond the mats. Crane’s wife, Edit Keshishyan, owns Acai Jungle Cafe next door, contributing to what has become a full ecosystem of health, nutrition, and recovery on Victory Boulevard. Crane’s additional Legacy locations in Glendale, Pasadena, and Santa Clarita reflect that same mission: to create spaces where people of all ages can grow stronger, more confident, and more connected. With the release of All In, Crane continues sharing the mindset that has guided his life — one rooted in perseverance, gratitude, and the belief that going “all in” for your community is the greatest victory of all.
