‘Hook’s’ Lost Boys reunite for 25th anniversary, celebrate Robin Williams
Lost Boys never age — that’s kind of their thing. So it should come as no surprise that almost 25 years after “Hook” first hit theaters, the boys with the battle cry of “Bangarang!” have barely changed.
OK, sure, the then-tykes to teens have grown up. But they recently put their costumes on again for a reunion photo shoot, and it was clear they’re all still boys at heart.
Don’t Ask (James Madio), Too Small (Thomas Tulak), Thud Butt (Raushan Hammond) and more — they all got together again. Even Rufio (Dante Basco) — and his signature belly-baring top — was resurrected for the photo fun.
“Looky, looky!”
The pics bring back a flood of nostalgia feels for fans who fondly remember Steven Spielberg’s 1991 take on the Peter Pan tale.
Sadly, the 25th anniversary reunion coincides with another anniversary. Thursday marks two years since “Hook’s” leading man, beloved actor Robin Williams, died.
For the stars behind the Lost Boys, the death of their Peter hit hard.
“I think for all of us (Robin’s death) was the death of our childhood,” Basco told Entertainment Tonight. “There’s sadness there. Also there’s a lot of space to kind of celebrate one of the most legendary artists of our time.
And now is the perfect time for fans to rewatch the classic flick to celebrate Williams’ talent, the film’s anniversary and the all-grown-up Boys who helped make it such a memorable hit.
